Maassen Oil Company was founded in 1931 as an agent for the original Shell Oil Company of New Jersey. With the petroleum industry still being in its infancy, activities consisted of delivering minimal quantities of gasoline and home heating oil. The products were very limited in those days through seventy years of business, enormous changes have taken place. Even so, many elements of the business have remained the same.
